Apicha Community Health Center EMR SUPPORT SPECIALIST in New York, New York

Position Summary:

We're looking for an organized professional full-time EMR Support Specialist for our Manhattan location. The ideal candidate is someone who is patient, has strong technical and problem-solving skills, an attentive listener and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff. The EMR Support Specialist will be responsible for optimizing the utilization and maintenance of Apicha's electronic health record system improving the delivery of patient care and enhancing the quality of data.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Support - triage and troubleshoot EHR system ticket requests/issues, all end-user requests documenting follow-up resolution to address issue/request in a timely manner.

Training - coordinate training to new and existing employees on features of the EHR system.

QI/QA - work closely with various departments to evaluate workflows for EHR system and provide recommendations for area of improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in healthcare, human services, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experiences in related field – Required.

  • 3-5 years’ experience with an electronic health record preferred. (eClinicalWorks strongly preferred)

  • Certified in eClinicalWorks a plus.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office required, (applications such as: Work, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills required. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to stand, walk or sit for an extended period of time. Includes working at a computer for an extended period of time.

  • Ability to hear and see within normal range.
