Salary Range (Grade D/634): $88,539 - $131,381
Responsibilities :
This position provides high level oversight of NYCT Subway's facility construction efforts for all owned and leased properties. Responsible for the management and oversight of several, multi-million-dollar capital construction projects to rehabilitate facilities utilizing both in-house represented labor and outsourced contracted labor. This position will be involved in various phases of the projects, which include planning, scheduling, analysis, design, technical specifications, and reporting. It requires expertise in the design and construction of architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and furniture, as well as expertise in reviewing.
design drawing assuring conformity to NYS Building Code and facility specifications. Responds to emergencies/ critical occurrences on a 24/7 basis.
Education and Experience :
A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of full-time related experience and two (2) years of managerial/supervisory/administrative experience.
A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills :
NYS RA License preferred.
Experience performing site inspections, documenting site conditions and construction activities, coordinating with end users and contractor staff, and responding to contractor requests for information. Proficient in Autocad. Understands construction methodology, materials & finishes and furniture specifications. Knowledge of capital design and construction process.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
