ABOUT THE ROLE

OutKick is searching for a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the innovation that shapes our premier sports and cultural content platform. We seek a technically skilled individual whose expertise spans the full spectrum of web development, encompassing both front-end and back-end technologies.

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the OutKick website and its associated applications. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create engaging user experiences and robust backend solutions that cater to our audience's passionate following.

Your contribution will directly influence the intersection of sports, politics, and culture, making OutKick's content accessible and engaging across a broad demographic.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are currently in web development with a focus on responsive development
  • You have a knack for finding solutions to problems - and using a full arsenal of debugging tools
  • You have experience with at least another programming language
  • You never stop learning about web technology; never stopping at what you know, and always keeping up with the latest news in all aspects of web development

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and optimize the OutKick website using a blend of both front-end and back-end technology
  • Development of robust and scalable software, including crafting a comprehensive library of CSS, JavaScript, and components assets for utilization across the FOX network
  • Author clean, functional and semantic code that prioritizes reusability and portability
  • Guarantee that markup adheres to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and accessibility guidelines, ensuring content delivery is compatible across an array of devices
  • Partake in collaborative tasks, including conducting code reviews, compiling technical documentation, and devising test cases
  • Work in synergy with the dedicated API team to achieve seamless integration and functionality

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A solid foundation in hands-on development with HTML/CSS/JS
  • Well-versed in an array of modern backend programming languages, showcasing versatility in software development.
  • An eye for detail paired with robust communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts and collaborate with team members
  • Proficiency in responsive design principles and the ability to apply general framework concepts appropriately
  • Commitment to writing semantic code that is clear, concise, and adheres to best practices with an emphasis on 'Don't Repeat Yourself' (DRY) principles

    Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $95,000.00-110,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
