Kroll, LLC Head of Transformation Communications in New York, New York

The Head of Transformation Communications is a key member of Kroll's corporate communications team and will be located in our New York Office.

This role will serve as the communications lead for Operations, Finance and Legal, partnering closely with each executive and their management team to create compelling, timely and firm-aligned content for all of their internal/external needs. Central to that effort will be developing and executing intra-COO, CFO and CLO team strategies to foster a strong sense of culture and cohesion, and to support transformation in line with the firm's business and employee engagement goals.

The portfolio of responsibilities comprises all internal BAU (business-as-usual) communications for these groups including but not limited to town halls, slides, fireside chats, videocasts, memos and blogs, etc. across all internal channels (email, intranet, phone, MS Teams, etc). In close collaboration with our external communications team, this role is also responsible for the external presence of the COO/CFO/CLO across social media, media and speaking engagements.

Finally, this role is also responsible for developing and documenting a robust crisis communications plan and helping run practice scenarios and simulations.

Responsibilities

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Amplifying firmwide internal communications projects for the COO, CFO and CLO Groups, working closely with the Global Head of Corporate Communications, the leads for Thought Leadership & External Communications, Employee Engagement, Human Resources, Financial Advisory and Risk Advisory
  • Working in a high volume, fast-paced environment delivering internal communications projects and driving external strategy for the COO, CFO and CLO
  • Executing strategic initiatives, both proactive and reactive short-term and long-term campaigns, that are specific to the COO, CFO and CLO groups
  • Counseling executives who are COO, CFO and CLO on strategic communications plans and executive writing support
  • Planning, writing COO, CFO and CLO Group content for a variety of internal communications channels, including leadership presentations, newsletters, key messages / scripts, speeches, video and other creative assets, among other work product
  • Developing and delivering an external profile for the chief executives of Operations, Legal and Finance, including social media, external presentations at appropriate conferences and press.
  • Acting as a thought partner to the firm's other communications partners, surfacing ideas for potential pieces and opportunities to showcase cutting edge practices and ideas emanating from the Operations, Technology, Legal and Finance teams
  • Delivering a robust crisis communications plan for the firm; as well as supporting the firm's Head of Global Internal Communications and the Chief Communications Officer in running practice crisis simulations to test and adjust the plan.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in: developing strategic corporate communications, supporting executives, particularly in the COO, Technology and Finance fields: creating and deploying impactful messaging and core materials, compelling multi-channel programming to support employee engagement, business priorities, culture, and a track record of delivering solid, measurable results
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and extensive experience managing a suite of internal communications channels, including the intranet, digital signage, and other emerging communication and collaboration technologies
  • Deep knowledge of core internal communications, change management and employee engagement strategies; demonstrated experience writing for major transformation initiatives
  • Experience with crisis communications - developing plans, running scenarios and supporting crisis communications
  • Have well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions to develop and deliver an external profile for the chief executives of Operations, Legal and Finance, including social media, external presentations at appropriate conferences and press
  • Experience with social media, media and external profile raising
