Job Description
What You’ll Do:
The Agency Ops Data Steward is responsible for ongoing data QA of a large retail/luxury brand. They lead and coordinate the data validation efforts across internal Starcom stakeholders and data providers. They develop and implement processes and best practices to support a reliable and accurate data ecosystem.
The Data Steward works with a variety of data platforms and understands our database systems, data needs, and workflows to monitor data quality, diagnose issues, and improve process. The ability to problem-solve and collaborate with various internal agency teams and external vendor partners is a critical aspect of this role. They are hands-on with data from a variety of MarTech (Marketing Technology) platforms that feed the data ecosystem and work with industry-leading technology that produces efficiencies across the agency.
Data Stewards are part of the Agency Operations department at Starcom. As such, they will have the opportunity to create and maintain best-in-class processes for the entire agency and contribute to the learning and development of the Data Steward practice.
Responsibilities:
Ensure account stakeholders are aware of and educated on internal QA processes; provide ongoing training and education as needed
Develop process/checklist for internal/external stakeholders to validate campaign settings
Understand how investment decisions inform data quality and broader client data ecosystem
Support internal teams in requirement-gathering for new data sources to be properly integrated into data models
Create and maintain data export and import workflows with relevant industry partners and technology providers
Develop, pull, and analyze reports, working with internal teams to identify reporting needs and opportunities for improvement
Ongoing QA to ensure all data connections and taxonomy are accurate across platforms and flag issues to the appropriate stakeholders
Ad hoc QA and troubleshooting if/when issues are surfaced by internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address root cause of issues, improving data quality with upstream process enhancements, education, and stakeholder partnership
Maintain a strong understanding of systems and platforms used, such as buying/financial systems (i.e., Prisma), ad servers/verification, DSPs, social platforms, (CM360, Innovid, Meta, IAS) DMPs, and internal proprietary tools
Collaborate with internal teams to understand system and process pain points and gather ideas for future enhancements
Proactively seek out opportunities for automation and ways to drive greater efficiency
Build and maintain strong relationships across Starcom teams/departments, Publicis Media, and vendor partners
Share best practices and learn from other Publicis Media teams, to increase standardization and ensure the most optimal process are being deployed across the agency
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Educational background in information systems management, statistics, computer science, economics, or business degrees preferred, but not required
5+ years of related professional experience
Hands-on experience manipulating, accessing, and evaluating data from various data sources and environments, data visualization tools, i.e. tableau is preferred
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with heavy focus on Excel
Knowledge of digital advertising platforms, such as buying/financial systems (i.e., MediaOcean), activation platforms (DSPs, ad servers, etc.), and data management tools
Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
Willingness to learn, optimize, and create solutions that challenge the status quo
Ability to understand and translate business needs into technical requirements
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutions
A proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
Ability to work independently (proactively) and collaboratively with diverse groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail

Compensation Range: $81,500- $128,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
