Description

Our client, an innovative non-profit utilizing tech to assist those dealing with mental health issues, is seeking a Part-Time, Paralegal on an 8-week, contract basis (approximately 20-hours a week). The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in the legal field (non-profit, legal experience is a plus) and be available to work on a part-time basis during business hours. JDs welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with drafting contracts and amendments using established templates

• Respond to and log third party requests for transcripts and process transcript disclosures.

• Communicate with outside counsel regarding litigation, immigration and intellectual property matters and deadlines

• Assist with the committee addressing allegations of volunteer violations of our Code of Conduct

• Process and log volunteer account deletion requests

• Update logs of transcript requests, disclosures, and account deletion requests

• Assist the CFO, CEO and other leaders with discrete tasks as needed.

Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, Management System, Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Billing Functions, Briefing, Calendar Management

• Competence in Claim Administration, Complaint Handling, Paralegal duties, and Drafting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Paralegal role

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Billing Functions, Briefing, Calendar Management, Claim Administration, and Complaint Handling

• Skilled in drafting legal documents

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
