We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join our team in the construction industry, located in New York, New York. In this role, you will oversee the process of union and non-union payroll, monitor payroll administrators, and handle collective bargaining agreements. The role also involves filing W2's, managing monthly and weekly remittance to unions, and dealing with audits and garnishments.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the processing of union and non-union payroll

• Assisting with the processing of payroll and overseeing staff

• Filing W2's and managing monthly and weekly remittance to unions

• Conducting audits and dealing with garnishments

• Using Sage Timberline for payroll and accounting purposes

• Managing payroll for a large number of employees across multiple entities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role within the construction or contractor industry.

• Knowledge of Payroll - Union is a must.

• Familiarity with Sage Timberline software would be beneficial.

• The ability to work well in a team and to communicate effectively at all levels.

• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

• A professional qualification in payroll or accounting would be advantageous.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise and guide a team.
