Description

We are in search of a part-time Payroll Specialist to join our team in New York. This role focuses on supporting our team in running weekly payroll and provides an opportunity to work within the hotel industry. This is a short-term (2-3 day/wk.) contract employment opportunity that requires proficiency in payroll software systems and a strong understanding of payroll functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Running weekly payroll for a significant number of employees

• Utilizing payroll software such as Ceridian or similar

• Employing knowledge of Dayforce for added efficiency

• Processing union payroll when necessary

• Operating accounting software systems for accurate record keeping

• Conducting payroll functions such as garnishments

• Ensuring full cycle payroll is completed accurately and timely

• Handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) as part of accounting functions

• Administering 401k - RRSP Administration as a part of the role

• Utilizing IBM AS/400 and Kronos Timekeeping System for effective job execution.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Ceridian

• Knowledge in IBM AS/400

• Proficiency in operating Kronos Timekeeping System

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Familiarity with About Time software

• Capable of performing Accounting Functions

• Knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Ceridian Payroll System and Dayforce

• Proficiency in ADP - Payroll

• Experience in Full Cycle Payroll

• Ability to handle Payroll and Payroll - Garnishments

• Knowledge in Payroll - Union

• Experience in using Payroll software and performing Payroll Functions
