JOB PURPOSE
Conduct Personal Training sessions with the 14th Street Y members. Provide high-quality instruction and excellent communication with clients. Represent the brand and core values of 14 Street Y.
SCOPE OF INFLUENCE
Partners with internal and external customers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Function 90%
Design personal fitness programs for clients to help them achieve their fitness goals
Conduct personal training sessions that create a unique and memorable client experience
Screen and evaluate clients to ascertain any health conditions, injuries, or special needs
Maintain neat, professional attire and a courteous, helpful attitude
Foster and grow strong relationships with Y members
Uphold key values of 14StreetY team members: accountability, anticipating needs, positive attitude and atmosphere
Maintain Personal Trainer and CPR/AED certifications
Be familiar with and adhere to established building procedures and protocols
Respond appropriately to emergency situations that may arise
Other 10%
Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants, and guests
Attend Fitness department meetings as scheduled
Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Current nationally recognized personal trainer certification
Strong base of Fitness applied knowledge
Sincere interest and enthusiasm in fitness
Ability to work morning, evening, and weekend schedule required
Team player and a passion to build relationships with individuals
Proactive, hands-on approach, as well as a professional work ethic
Self-motivated, highly efficient, strong attention to details
CPR/AED & First Aid Certification required
Must be available for early morning weekday sessions
