New York University Post Doctoral Associate (P.I.: Dr. Farnaz Shamsi) in New York, New York

Post Doctoral Associate

Full-time

A postdoctoral research position is available in Shamsi lab (https://www.shamsilab.com/) in the Department of Molecular Pathobiology at the New York University College of Dentistry. The Shamsi lab focuses on studying the mechanisms of thermogenic adipose tissue development and function, aiming to understand how these processes regulate metabolic health and disease. We employ a range of scientific tools such as genetic mouse models, single cell and spatial transcriptomics, imaging, and various molecular and cellular biology techniques to unravel the complexities of adipose tissue development, function, and systemic metabolism. We seek a highly motivated and creative individual interested in metabolism and developmental biology to join our growing team. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and collaborative team of scientists, committed to fostering a culture of teamwork and the highest level of scientific rigor and integrity.

Some of our recent published work are listed:
