Title: Program Associate - Public Policy Programs Job Site: New York, NY Company: Council of the Americas Duties: Develop and arrange economic and public policy forums and conferences for members, media, and opinion leaders from public and private sectors. Lead efforts to promote dialogue on public policy programs that advance knowledge, debate and policy making in the Americas region. Work closely with Directors to implement public relations strategies that advance company public policy programs and initiatives. Prepare questionnaires, speeches, and statements for media and identify key group interests to conceptualize company’s public policy forums and conferences. Cultivate and maintain relationships with diplomats, officials, members of company while understanding their concerns and interests. Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Public Policy and Administration, Political Science or related and two (2) years’ experience as a Program Associate in Public Policy Programs or in a related position. Experience must include: Understanding Latin American and Brazilian business cultures government function, and political landscape; and Knowledge of Latin American economics and politics.
