As our Principal, Publishing Partnerships and Strategy, you will be at the forefront of strategic leadership, engaging with senior-level stakeholders within and outside the company to redefine the landscape of our key publishing partnerships. With your deep market understanding and financial acumen, you'll spearhead initiatives that drive readership, revenue, and brand awareness, solidifying our position as a leader in real estate news and insights.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing strategies that span various aspects of the publishing business, including site monetization, audience acquisition, and content distribution. You will lead the strategy and execution of partnership initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and revenue generation, and driving business results that benefit both Realtor.com and our partners.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute our publishing partnership strategy to align with company goals and market opportunities, building and maintaining long-term relationships with key industry partners, and driving revenue and brand awareness through structured content partnerships and full text syndication.

  • Negotiate and close high-value partnership deals, coordinating with internal teams, and establish KPIs for partnership success.

  • Stay updated on industry trends to identify new opportunities and report progress and strategic insights to executive management.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop products and services for enhanced partner integrations.

  • Develop and execute site monetization strategies with media sales, product, and editorial teams, focusing on media and content optimization, targeted content investments, and content distribution/syndication.

  • Define and drive audience strategy with SEO, product, and editorial teams, collaborating with analytics to monitor and improve site traffic performance.

What you’ll bring:

  • 12-15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; MBA is preferred.

  • Exceptional strategic leadership and vision, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Extensive experience in building partnerships/business development, with a strong background in publishing or news media.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful publishing strategies within partnership frameworks.

  • Executive-level communication skills and presence, capable of engaging and influencing senior executives.

  • Strong financial acumen, capable of developing and managing significant budgets and financial models related to partnerships and investments.

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team environments, driving integrated partnership projects to completion.

  • Solid analytical capabilities to assess partnership performance and market opportunities.

  • Excellent project management skills and adaptability to rapidly changing market conditions.

Salary Range for select office locations

  • New York $210,300 to $299,700

Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target typically expressed as percentage of salary. Similarly to salary, annual incentive bonus targets are set based on a variety of factors including job level, competitive market practice, experience, tenure, and essential skills.
