MPG Operations LLC Quantitative Researcher in New York, New York
The Quantitative Researcher (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, NY will develop statistical models based on historical data. Perform risk management, modeling, and transaction cost analysis using factor models, scenario analysis, and statistical modeling within our Equities Trading group. Utilize machine learning techniques, time series models, and other statistical tools, to forecast market returns. Work with quantitative and research analysts, portfolio managers, software engineers, and traders to make hedging and trading decisions within a variety of markets, instruments, and strategies. Develop and implement pricing models for valuation and trading of derivative instruments and structured products. Assist with the valuation of other financial instruments. Contribute to the development of systematic trading strategies, such as statistical arbitrage with a primary focus on event driven analysis and merger arbitrage, including analysis of historical data, model development and parameter estimation and optimization. Assist with the implementation of the systems and software necessary to develop, test and execute trading strategies. Telecommuting permitted up to 5 days per week with manager approval. Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or related field, plus 1 year in a professional fixed income trading occupation, or related occupation.
