Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator to join their team and create a unique learning experience tailored to the needs of the healthcare workforce. The ideal candidate will develop strategic education plans, analyze workforce data, and collaborate with subject matter experts to establish standardized curricula. The Nurse Educator will also evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and provide training opportunities for staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and conduct Continuing Education programs for clinical staff.

  • Lead mandatory in-services and orientation programs for new staff.

  • Evaluate and support newly employed nursing staff during and after the orientation period.

  • Conduct formal and informal educational activities, including ongoing education on EMR and new policies.

  • Perform field visits with nurses to assess competencies and provide clinical support.

  • Track and ensure staff attendance at in-services.

  • Assist in nursing staff recruitment and recommend applicants for employment.

  • Develop and implement clinical studies, maintain databases, and produce reports.

  • Coordinate with the Quality Department on Infection Control updates.

  • Develop and implement an annual nurse competency assessment program.

  • Contribute to the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures.

  • Participate in Quality Assessment activities, including chart and vendor audits.

  • Engage in performance improvement projects and committee work.

  • Participate in special activities and adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the PACE organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of five years conducting training classes or serving as an Education Coordinator in a healthcare setting. At least one year of experience working with frail or elderly populations is preferred.

  • License: Current active and unrestricted NYS Registered Nurse license.

  • Additional Requirements: Excellent written and computer skills. Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and up to date on immunizations.

The salary range for this position is $128,000-$132,000/year
