Blackstone, Inc. in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Associate, Real Estate to work directly with the Real Estate Securities business, which is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and executing all liquid, real estate-related debt investments on behalf of Blackstone Real Estate. Participate in the investment process for a wide range of real estate debt transactions, with a primary focus on CMBS, RMBS and ABS. Perform acquisitions of CMBS/RMBS, corporate real estate-related debt, ABS, derivatives and other forms of public and private securities. Perform new loan originations. Perform real estate analysis and modeling. Perform market research and comparable company analysis. Develop presentations and memoranda. Assist in the diligence and evaluation of trading opportunities. Perform other duties as needed. A minimum of a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required. Also required is: 3 years of experience: modeling detailed cash flows in Bloomberg and Intex; using Microsoft Excel to build detailed financial models and cash flow pro formas with strong fundamental understanding of real estate across asset types; analyzing and underwriting CMBS (preferably with a focus on Conduit CMBS); executing CMBS transactions (in both primary and secondary markets) with a deep understanding of market-specific trading technicals; using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop internal and external presentation materials.
