Sullivan & Cromwell LLP seeks Senior Associate, Tax Group, in New York, NY under supervision of partners: Assist with capital markets transactions, as well as transactions involving special entities such as RICs, REITs and PTPs. Requirements: J.D. or foreign equivalent. Experience in job offered or related occupation must include at least three (3) years of experience in an international tax practice: analyzing tax strategies and structures under U.S. tax law and foreign tax treaties; advising on the tax aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions, derivatives transactions, partnerships, joint ventures, foreign sovereign wealth fund transactions, controlled foreign corporations, and passive foreign investment companies; negotiating tax-related contractual provisions with counterparties in stock purchase agreements and merger agreements. Must be admitted to practice law in New York state. The offered salary is $310,000 to $435,000 per year, 40 hours/week.
