Position: Senior UX ResearcherDuties:Analyze user experiences with Roku products to inform product development and marketing. Create, plan, and execute research initiatives that influence evolution of the Roku UX design platform. Conduct presentations on research findings for clients and end-users and study consumer reactions to new products and package designs. Present research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and presentations. Collect and analyze consumer behavior through lab studies, field visits, surveys, logs, and A/B experiments. Work with product managers, UX designers, and engineers from beginning of product strategy through execution and delivery of features, to understand technical and business requirements and prioritize user research opportunities. Drive team actions from the research findings to make differences to products to improve user and business outcomes.EducationRequired:Master or foreign equivalent in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science or related field.ExperienceRequired:3 years experience as User Experience Researcher, Intern, Research Assistant or related occupation.Alternate Requirements:Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science or related field plus 5 years progressive experience as User Experience Researcher, Intern, Research Assistant or related occupation.Special Requirements:Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following: 1) User researcher for web platforms and SAAS platforms; 2) Mixed methods research including method selection and appropriate application in context, heuristic analysis, usability testing, card sorting, tree testing, concept testing, survey design, A/B testing, contextual inquiry, generative research, participatory design, design thinking workshop facilitation, Jobs to be Done, persona development, and focus group research; 3) Collaborating with teams of designers, researchers, product managers, product marketing, data analytics experts and engineers throughout the product development process; 4) Optimal Workshop, Dscout, and Qualtrics; and 5) Application of research methods.
