MPG Operations LLC Software Engineer in New York, New York
The Software Engineer (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, NY will be involved in the development of the Firm’s real-time global fixed income or equities trading and risk management systems software. Utilize Java and Python server-side programming, multithreading, object-oriented design, design patterns, as well as unit and integration testing for software development. Use middleware technologies for core development, integration, and transaction implementation. Maintain, enhance, and support the fixed income or equities systems software, applying Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodology and DevOps tools. Utilize Docker to deliver software in containers, Kubernetes to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications, and cloud container technologies. Employ Angular web application framework and related web technology to build reliable and efficient software. Telecommuting available. Salary: $150,000 - $210,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer & Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering or a related technical field, plus one year of professional experience developing and delivering software applications. Must include one year of experience with each of the following: (1) core language features and data structures for programming in Java or Python; (2) multithreading, object-oriented design, design patterns, and unit and integration testing; (3) develop and deploy applications based on cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Lamba, AWS Step Functions or Amazon EC2; (4) automated application development using CI/CD process; (5) command line tools and scripting for day-to-day development and support, including Linux Shell, Git, and SSH; (6) develop, integrate, and transaction implementation; (7) messaging and streaming platforms, including Kafka, Amazon SQS, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, or RapidQ; (8) SQL Database or DynamoDB development, including query performance, programming API, and constructs; and (9) caching technologies, including Hazelcast, ElastiCache, or Redis.To apply please send resume to recruiting@mlp.com and reference job code "0511" when applying.#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP
