IBM Technical Production Specialist in New York, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Successfully work across multiple global events partnering with our IBM geographies (Americas, EMEA, APAC, Japan) to ensure all deliverable timelines are met.

  • Advise on technical production budget in terms of equipment and resource recommendations.

  • Set up, configure, and maintain live streaming equipment, including cameras, microphones, switchers, encoders, and streaming platforms.

  • Collaborate with producers and directors to plan and execute live streaming events, ensuring technical requirements are met and quality standards are upheld.

  • Monitor live streams in real-time, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain broadcast quality.

  • Coordinate with technical teams to optimize streaming workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the viewer experience.

  • Edit raw footage into polished technical video content , ensuring accuracy, clarity and consistency.

  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance technical storytelling and clarify complex concepts.

  • Ensure all technical specifications and requirements are met for various distribution platforms, including web, mobile and broadcast.

  • Manage video assets and maintain master archives for IBM Media Lab team.

  • Manage workflow and schedules for programs based upon volume, deadlines, and priorities.

  • Facilitate relationships between teams, moving process forward, finding resources, reworking schedules, raising concerns to appropriate owner's early and resolving open issues that prevent progress.

  • Manage a team to oversee coordination for video shoots.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Position requires 5+ years relevant work experience in video production.

  • Proficiency in video editing software. Adobe Creative suite a plus.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • A proven track record of excellent project management skills.

  • Proficiency in live streaming software and platforms (e.g., OBS Studio, etc.)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with Airtable, Monday or similar Project Management platforms.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
