The Trader, Discretionary Investments is instrumental to the efficient operation and Trading of Fixed Income and Equity Securities for Private Banking Discretionary portfolios.Control and monitor the activities to remain compliant on an ongoing basis whilst keeping in mind all the risk factors related to the role purpose. Polyvalent to actively interact with both internal (PM) and external (RM & IC) clients.

As our Trader, Discretionary Investments you will:

  • Ensure proper and cost effective execution of trades

  • Execute trades generated by the Portfolio Managers

  • Maintain strong relationships with broker dealers on the street, and actively communicate with the PMs about the daily market movements and trends

  • Communicate with the PMs about the daily market movements and trends

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $155,700.00 and $233,600.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Financial Market Trader

  • Strong understanding of Equity and Fixed Income Markets

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Market Access, Moxy would be preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Graduate degree and/or CFA candidate, preferred
