What to expect:

Electro/Mechanical Assemblers perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting on assembly units. Executes production operations as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Responsible for following all operating procedures to the highest standard.

What we expect:

E/M Assemblers to work collaboratively with manufacturing associates, engineering, quality, and leadership to execute production requirements. Supports engineering experimentation and operational improvement initiatives as requested. Participates in teams to identify opportunities for improvement within production area. May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

Skillset:

  • Proficient working understanding of Microsoft Office platform including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and OneDrive required.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

  • High-level of attention to detail and focus on quality.

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand all written procedures.

  • Trained to execute 3-4 roles within the Operations team.

  • IPC 610 / 620 Certification, Oracle ERP and Agile Product Lifecycle Management Systems.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of High School diploma/General Education Degree (GED) or Associate Degree

  • 1-2 years of experience in Manufacturing

Required Training Schedule:

  • Training in Danbury, CT will be with experienced associates for 4 weeks a month for up to 6 months. First week is in Newark to get acclimated with teams. A corporate credit card will be supplied for travel expenses.

  • Training in Newark (when not in Danbury, CT) will be using virtual tools at first and then off-line product to repeat assembly moves.

  • Travel to Danbury, CT will take place on Monday mornings and return on Thursday afternoons. Weekends will be spent at home. Shift times will vary on travel days and ideally 7-3:30 on other days.

  • You will be paid a competitive hourly rate and a quarterly bonuses of up to $1,500 for achieved training milestones.

The annualized base salary range for this hourly role is $37,200-$55,800 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
