SUMMARY:

  • Generate various senior management as well as State of NJ reporting schedules and presentations, development of NJ TRANSIT's annual consolidated Operating/Capital Budget and forecasting passenger revenue and ridership.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with the development, coordination and preparation of NJ TRANSIT's annual consolidated Operating/Capital Budget to ensure adequate funding for all planned expenditures.

  • Manages and prepares budget and financial documentation for legislative appropriations hearings, including schedules, narratives, account snapshots, charts and graphs.

  • Manages, develops and maintains a thorough multi-year revenue and expenditure analysis and projection for various departments, including data and other key performance indicators to support such projections.

  • Develops, coordinates and compiles technical material to maintain a comprehensive database for development and preparation of budget and financial presentations, reports, press releases and reviews.

  • Prepares financial and budget control schedules, presentations and targets as required by various state agencies based on analysis and senior management priorities.

  • Ad-hoc projects, reporting, presentations and analysis as required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area and six (6) or more years’ experience in financial analysis, budget development or accounting. Supervisory experience is desired.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Access and Word is required.

  • Proficiency in manipulating data required to generate various reports required.
