Customer Service Representative

Location: Newark, NJ (onsite

Duration: Contract long-term

Pay rate: $18.63/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday with every other weekend. When working a weekend, they will have one day before Saturday off and one day after Sunday off.

Schedule: 3:30pm - 11:30pm

The primary purpose of the Customer Service Receptionist is to register visitors for visitation and/or same day procedures by creating a visitor badge using the Visitor Management System; greet patients and visitors while providing friendly and prompt assistance when directing them to their destination as appropriate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Actively contributes to creating a friendly, welcoming, and safe environment for UH customers

• Communicates clearly to ensure understanding

• Responds to complaints and concerns by resolving issues immediately whenever possible

• Organizes work process to accommodate customer needs, including internal customers and co-workers

• Meets or exceeds customer expectations for service

• Acts as a role model for Service Excellence

• Maintains professional composure in the workplace

• Works effectively with team to ensure customer service scores for work area meet/exceed targets

• Demonstrates respect for patient rights

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• One (1) year of customer service experience required

• Experience in hospitality preferred

• Must have strong computer skills including data entry, website navigation and other software to perform daily operations; excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communications

• Ability to work in a team setting, display patience, empathy, and professionalism

• Ability to organize and resolve multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and troubleshoot issues in a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Must possesses the ability to multi-task, proper telephone etiquette, time management, and attention to detail skills

• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Bilingual skills preferred

Pay Details: $18.63 per hour
