Amazon Senior Product Manager, Retail in Newark, New Jersey

Description

At Audible, we believe stories have the power to transform lives. It’s why we work with some of the world’s leading creators to produce and share audio storytelling with our millions of global listeners. We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

At Audible, we're revolutionizing the way people experience storytelling through the power of voice. Our Retail team is at the forefront of this mission, driving the strategy and execution to expand Audible's offering beyond membership, to a new evolving set of on and off platform transactional shopping experiences. We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our efforts in defining how Audible will develop transactional offerings, while improving the pricing, discovery, and shopping journey for Audible's existing cash offerings.

In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead the development and implementation of innovative strategies to revitalize Audible's existing retail business and develop the long term relationship Audible has with our customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, aligning efforts across pricing, revenue optimization, discovery, demand generation, shopping experiences, and upsell/resell journeys.

ABOUT YOU

You are the type of person who asks why, explores ideas, and isn't afraid to voice your crazy concepts or persistently follow an email chain for weeks until you find someone with an answer. Comfortable with ambiguity, you can communicate complex, technical ideas clearly and succinctly to any audience. You champion customer-centric thinking and advocate for exceptional user experiences across Audible's cash and shopping offerings. Exhibiting a bias toward action, you try new things and aren't deterred by failures. You have a strong desire and ability to connect with external or internal customers to fully understand their needs. With an appetite to constantly learn new things or technologies, you remain humble and willing to ask for help. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoying working with diverse teams and driving progress toward common goals. You put the team first and establish long-lasting relationships through this team-oriented approach.

As a Senior Product Manager, Retail you will...

  • Lead the product roadmap related to our point of purchase experiences to include transactional options for customers in addition to Audible’s existing membership

  • Develop customer life-cycle engagement strategies to define the relationship Audible should have with our transactional listeners over the long term

  • Work with third party distribution partners to define how Audible might engage and enable transactions off of our platforms

  • Share Audible’s overall business strategy and product team roadmaps with tech partners to establish context while seeking their input on where investments align with business strategy to align and execute on a roadmap

  • Translate the product strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames with defined and measured value being realized iteratively

  • Deliver value by creating reusable, extensible and resilient capabilities related to shopping and transactions

  • Work with partner product and marketing teams to understand how other workstreams influence the retail journey and vice-versa

  • Proactively accelerate, unblock, de-risk and help optimize the work of the delivery teams working on your in-flight features
