Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, Staff Development Specialist will work under the direction of the Director of Staff Development, to develop and ensure the delivery of the Agency Staff Development Program.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in related field. 1 year experience in the administration of Learning Management System required. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, preferred. NYS Drivers’ License required.

Job Requirements:

Duties:

  1. Assist in Training Programs: Collaborate with the Director of Staff Development to plan, coordinate, and execute training programs and workshops for employees at all levels.

  2. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for various staff development activities, including scheduling training sessions, preparing training materials, and maintaining training records.

  3. Onboarding Support: Assist with the onboarding process for new hires by coordinating orientation sessions and providing logistical support as needed.

  4. Training Logistics: Coordinate logistics for training events, including booking venues, arranging catering, and ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available.

  5. Learning Management System (LMS) Support: Provide support for the organization's learning management system, including assisting employees with access, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining accurate training records.

b. Course creation and Instructor-led Training/ Webinar management

c. Enrollments/Attendance record keeping

d. Creating/establishing automatic notifications and training reminders

e. Other clerical system maintenance and management

  1. Monitor the completion of staff training requirements to ensure accurate and timely compliance with Agency and regulatory requirements.

  2. Work in conjunction with Quality Assurance, Human Resources and Executive Leadership to develop and implement staff development learning modules.

  3. Provide training content expertise, which will include delivering public presentations about the training and communicating the training’s purpose, value, and importance.

  4. Assist in maintaining timely compliance and all related record keeping for staff mandated to additional training/remediation.

  5. Assist in the development of Agency annual training timeline and training content.

  6. Interface with Agency teams and community partners to maintain positive working relationships.

  7. Generate Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Reports on training progress and completion.

  8. Course and Presenter Evaluation/Updates as necessary.

  9. Refine/Revise specific departmental checklists.

  10. Assist with the Agency’s Individualized Development Plans, Leadership and Mentorship programs

  11. Monitoring and oversight of Staff Development inbox

  12. Perform other duties and functions as directed.
