Stew Leonard's Receiving Recycling Clerk in Newington, Connecticut
Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.
Recycling Clerk
Part Time Hourly – starting rate $16- $17 per hour
Must be at least 18 years and older
Position Description:
The Recycling Clerk coordinates the collection, sorting, and disposal of trash and recyclable materials.
Your day-to-day:
Collect trash from each department and move it to the trash dock
Separate trash from recyclable material and dispose of trash in the trash compactor and recyclable material into the cardboard baler
Remove bale from cardboard baler and move to trailer
Keep outside area of compactor clean to prevent infestations
Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
Assist in other duties, as assigned
