Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Material Procurement Analyst to join our team in the Newport News, VA area.

Job Summary:

This Material Procurement Review Support Specialist position has a primary objective to provide advanced material procurement review support for advanced planning and execution of the Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) advanced material procurement plan (AMPP).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Review and analyze the prime shipbuilder submittal of the Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) contract data reliability list (CDRL) deliverable of the Advanced Material Procurement Plan (AMPP) and provide an analysis of appropriateness for material types and quantity as presented in the AMPP as it relates to the Authorized Work Package (AWP) Item Work Sequence Schedule

  • Monitor prime shipbuilder material procurement for the following attributes: timely ordering, material quantity validation, and budget analyses. Provide appropriate metrics and reports.

  • Provide support in evaluating procurement processes and supply chain efficiencies and as appropriate provide recommendations for alternate material sources

  • Provide support for review and analysis of the shipbuilder’s parts catalog for Naval Stock Systems equivalents (As required)

  • Assist in the review of shipbuilder provided data for periodic RCOH advanced planning technical material procurement reconciliations

  • Provide support working in conjunction with the technical subject matter experts for the review and evaluation of work package bill of materials

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 10+ years of experience in logistics management and material procurement, to include some experience supporting the Navy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project or Program management experience

  • Former US Navy Chief Petty Officer, Chief Warrant Officer, or Limited Duty Officer

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active or current U.S. Government Secret Security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • Occasionally ascends/descends ladders
