Robert Half Accounts Receivable Settlement Specialist in Norcross, Georgia

Description We are offering a role in the telecom industry, located in Norcross, Georgia, United States. This role involves working as an Accounts Receivable Clerk in a dynamic and high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be involved in various accounting functions, including billing and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis, research, and problem-solving tasks related to accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

• Manage high-volume work settings through effective organization and time-management skills.

• Close out loads invoices CT and address customer complaints/questions regarding billing.

• Take over Accounting Functions from Recycle Plants and work closely with suppliers.

• Verify Weight Imports done by other departments and collaborate with them to ensure billing accuracy.

• Resolve any mistakes with billing issues, make necessary adjustments, and balance monthly shipment transactions.

• Understand department process flow and constantly look for areas of improved efficiency.

• Work closely with accounts receivable to reduce unapplied cash issues and improve customer satisfaction.

• Review adjustments submitted by customer service for accuracy and completeness before entering in system.

• Utilize a variety of analytic skills to verify data for accuracy and completeness.

• Be involved in team projects including root cause analysis, process mapping, and intergroup process streamlining. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software related to account management

• Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes

• Ability to handle invoicing, billing, and adjustments with accuracy

• Strong analytical skills to handle financial data and perform ad hoc financial analysis

• Excellent customer service skills and phone presence

• Experience with materials handling, shipping functions, and buying processes

• Familiarity with finance and settlement procedures

• Proficiency in using 'About Time' software

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills for effective coordination with suppliers

• Ability to handle video communication effectively

• Good at streamlining processes and making necessary adjustments

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Experience with closing financial periods accurately and timely

• Ability to conduct detailed research as required.
