Adecco US, Inc. Field Service Engineer in Norfolk, Massachusetts

Adecco is assisting a local client in hiring a Field Service Engineer (FSE) in Norfolk, MA. This is a direct hire position and pay ranges from $80,000 to $95,000 per year with the opportunity for an annual performance bonus of up to 15%. A well qualified candidate for Field Service Engineer will demonstrate experience with heavy machinery/earth movers. The FSE will be focusing on repairing and maintaining heavy equipment like backhoes and dozers. They will also present technical information to groups and provide high-quality customer service by responding to technical issues and conducting training sessions. This position requires travel throughout the year.

This role involves instructing, presenting, consulting, and providing high quality customer service to buyers.

Qualifications

  • 8+ Years experience repairing heavy equipment (backhoes, pans, dozers, etc.).

  • Experience holding presentations/trainings in front of groups.

  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.

  • Ability to use MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Customer facing experience required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Relations

  • Respond to requests (physical or helpline) for technical aid, corrective or preventive maintenance of customers on all product lines.

  • Field and resolve customer complaints/technical issues.

  • Make an initial diagnosis according to the requests of the dealer (machines or defective spare parts). Confirm diagnosis of errors or technical issues and determine proper solutions.

  • Give technical explanations to dealers/customers.

  • Manage requests for support on technical interventions, modifications, serial defects (e.g. products under warranty).

  • Monitor spare parts in terms of availability and delays and communicate with dealers.

  • Pro-actively organize dealer network visits 2-3 times a year with the purpose of addressing technical problems, determining technical training needs and analyzing the effectiveness of the dealer on issues of technical support, parts support, and warranty procedures.

  • Plan and manage dealer network technical training - service, maintenance, parts management.

  • Ensure a dealer visit is scheduled when a first or new model is delivered for start-up and technical training.

  • Actively participate in the planning and coordination of regular regional/headquarters training events to ensure that our dealers are properly trained on all products that they represent.

  • Evaluate and assist with warranty claims.

  • Trouble-shoot machines with technical issues both at the dealer and here in Norfolk MA

Technical Reporting

  • Prepare dealer reports after every visit.

  • Produce timely and detailed diagnostic reports, describing failures, technical issues and identifying defective parts/components.

  • Report the incidents observed to the Service Manager.

  • Manage spare parts list recommendations per products.

  • Support Technical Manager with warranty treatment reports.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
