Req# 29084 Aultman Health Foundation, NORTH CANTON, OH AULTMAN N CANTON MEDICAL GROUP Aultman Health Foundation Full Time, Day Shift, M-F 7:30/8am-4:30/5pm $2,400 MA Sign On Bonus Available with a 2-year commitment JOB TITLE: Certified/Registered Medical Assistant GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides professional medical care under supervision for clinic patients. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to Practice Manager/Director of Practice Management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Duties performed in this position include but are not limited to the following: Performs selected clinical and clerical duties. Enters physician orders/instructions into EMR system. Prepares charts 1 week in advance gathering all outside consults/diagnostic testing/lab work ordered and performed since last visit. (Currently at 3 weeks out) Prints Enhanced Encounter Forms Identifies Medicare Wellness patients Optum forms as directed by Quality - LPN prints now 4. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs a. Obtains vital signs (height, weight, BP, pulse, oxygen level) b. Reviews and updates medical hx, surgery hx, social hx, family hx, and advanced directives c. Completes medication reconciliation (verifies medication, dosage and instructions) d. Verifies patient pharmacy e. Completes depression and fall screenings at appropriate times 5. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments. 6. Gives injections and applies dressings as required. a. Obtains and runs testing as ordered (urine dip, glucose, EKG, PT/INR, urine drug screen, blood work, urine pregnancy, rapid strep, rapid influenza) 7. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments. 8. Performs nurse visits - including education of physician's orders to patient and proper charting after visit. Assists providers in preparing for physical exams. Assist providers with procedures as needed (Pap, minor procedures) Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments and managing referrals in referral management Triage calls as needed Take off voice mail message at regular intervals Provides general information on departmental policies and procedures. Identifies clinical and office supplies and equipment needed and notifies lead and/or practice manager. Maintains patient files, records, and other information. Obtains information from paper charts or Allscripts (as needed) Requests records from outside offices or provides information to PSR 17. Compiles and condenses technical and statistical data for reports and records. 18.Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations Maintains vaccine and lab frig/freezer logs 21.Stocks and cleans rooms in between patients, end of day and as needed. 22.Completes end of day check list and provides to office lead Performs department specific work as required. Complies with all statutory regulatory policies and procedures. Cross trained to check in/check out patients, make appointments, work front desk. Close loops on tests & referrals Process prior authorization for testing and medications Monitor clinical pool and personal inbox Work as a team to manage the work queue Cross trained to check in/check out patients, make appointments, work front desk.
