NANA Regional Corporation Electrical Field Engineer - North Slope, AK - Rotational in North Slope/Prudhoe Bay, Alaska

Job Description

The Electrical Field Engineer assists the Project Manager in planning and execution of project plans at site. Field Engineer is responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned project. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and company standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned project between all disciplines and all other project participants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project engineering schedules and forecasts.

  • Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.

  • Monthly project status reports and change orders.

  • Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.

  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.

  • Extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.

  • Budget monitoring and trend tracking.

  • Participating in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues.

  • Review and approve project client invoices.

  • Ensure effective engineering and client communications.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferred

  • Minimum five (5) years of related electrical experience.

  • Previous experience working in North Slope, AK preferred.

  • Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.

Travel may require an employee or contractor to pass a TSA security checkpoint.
