What to Expect:

Reporting directly to the VP of Business Operations and Planning, the Operations Performance Manager will be a critical connector role for the Operations Team, responsible for generating holistic operations performance reporting to support planning and decision making across all Nestlé Canada Inc. operations functions.

This role will be responsible for identifying key themes and opportunities for escalation and action, root cause analysis, ad hoc reporting and executive summaries for the leadership team across the Zone and Globally. In addition, you will also be responsible for informing development of strategies through generating targeted insights via internal and external research activities. This individual will also play a key role in coordinating above-market reporting for Nestlé Canada Inc. Operations.

A day in the life:

Operations Performance Health:

  • Responsible for ensuring clear, concise, and connected Operations measures, dashboards, and executive summaries.

  • Develop appropriate communication vehicles for discussion of key themes, variances and opportunities that pertain to operations and span the total Nestlé in the market enterprise.

  • High levels of business acumen and analytical ability will allow the incumbent to "tell the operations performance story" in a concise and meaningful way.

  • Lead the efforts to create and continuously improve a "Future State Vision" for connected operations performance information.

  • Working in partnership with functional experts across one operation as well as the appropriate digital and IT partners to define scope, develop a robust program and manage the project through to implementation.

Operations Insights Generation:

  • Accountable to generate appropriate activities and programs to ensure the operations leaders have access to valuable insights from both inside and outside the organization.

  • Develop diverse sources of information, benchmarking, and insights from within Nestlé in the market, Zones and Affiliates, and globally, as well as external sources like FHCP, Gartner, Gallup, consultants, media, industry data, academia, and networking.

  • Draw critical insights and communicate actionable themes and priorities to support the strategies and decisions of the OLT.

Ad Hoc Projects and Initiatives:

  • Ad hoc reporting, issue resolution, support of strategy development or development of new management routines

  • A high degree of business acumen and connectedness across the enterprise will be required to adapt to unique queries and assignments, along with a high degree of learning agility and curiosity

Role Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in business, Operations and or, broad view of end-to-end Supply Chain or Inventory functions within Food or Beverage manufacturing industry

  • Proficiency in reporting and planning using relevant analytics and visualization software and tools: SAP, MS Office, Power BI

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and talent management

  • Strong understanding of business and operations performance measures and KPIs, and how that contributes to overall business performance

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization

  • Experience in influencing without authority for initiatives and projects through process improvements, standardization and simplification efforts

  • Flexible and adaptable in coping with pressures, deadlines, and rapidly changing situations
