This position contributes to Starbucks success by assisting in achieving the company’s goals by providing financial leadership to the product & marketing team. This includes planning, forecasting, analysis, reporting on KPIs, as well as analytical and strategic support for new growth initiatives – all while building effective relationships and influencing decision making across the team.
As a sr financial analyst , you will…
Own key Net Revenue P&L line items and lead the forecasting and performance management process for these expenses, including monthly tracking/reporting/variance analysis, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning.
Support in financial modeling exercise to support the pipeline of new product innovation, promotional and pricing strategies, and capital equipment investments, partnership, and delivery initiatives
Support the development and execution of key strategies by defining success, developing value-added processes, and reporting, tracking KPIs and uncovering trends/insights that improve performance. Present findings & recommendations to senior leadership
Partner with Marketing leaders to evaluate the merits of growth and spend efficiency initiatives. Own financial modeling to help shape final recommendations and decisions.
Actively participate in cross-functional projects by developing business cases to support recommendations and providing financial leadership
Assist in the Strategic Planning process, providing analytical support for longer-term business strategies.
Continue to build and maintain relationships with U.S. counterparts, leveraging best practices to enhance our Canadian business.
We’d love to hear from people with:
Bachelor's Degree (business, finance, engineering, or supply chain specialization preferred).
2-5 years of experience in a finance business partnership role
Excellent analytical, reporting, storytelling, business case development and financial modeling skills.
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Experience with Anaplan and/or Hyperion Essbase, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau considered an asset
