Duties and Responsibilies:
Sourcing supplies based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses while utilizing NPS system. This can include but is not limited to mechanical and electrical parts for repair, facility cleaning supplies, office supplies, waste treatment chemicals & supplies, paint supplies, Quality lab supplies, Pouch Sorting dept. supplies, cooker/boiler supplies, propane and regular subscription orders for supplies.
Maintaining spare parts inventory in CMMS system. Parts room organization, receiving, and cycle counting.
Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality.
Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company
Coordinating with shipping agencies UPS/FEDEX
Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
Schedule outside service visits (weekly/annually) as necessary to support internal departments.
Perform daily physical inventories of Sweetener & Vinegar.
Labeling of some equipment and chemicals.
Inventory, order, and receive water coolers and water for drinking throughout the facility.
Arrange outsourcing of machine shop work when needed.
Selling of empty barrels to employees/public.
Vending Machine refunds.
Prepare the security guard vehicle with gas and oil checks & tire pressure.
Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere through actions, communication and helping team members.
All other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Abilities:
Must have strong communication skills.
Must have the ability to operate a forklift and pass a company certification test for Forklift operation.
Must hold a current Driver's License
Must be computer-literate.
Should have a mechanical understanding to interface with garage and plant maintenance personnel on specialized needs as they arise.
Must have multi-tasking skills
Must be able to prioritize in order of importance.
Position Requirements:
- Current Driver's License
- Position requires that individual be OSHA tested and certified for forklift.
Hours: Currently 1st Shift -- 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (30 minute unpaid lunch)
Working days may vary based on the season. Typically, Monday through Friday.
