United Health Services Coordinator Nursing Quality and Safety in Norwich, New York

Coordinator Nursing Quality and Safety, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Coordinator Nursing Quality and Safety to join our Nursing Admin 03 department at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

$40.87 - $62.19 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Works closely with Patient Care Services leadership to facilitate performance improvement, daily operations, and quality improvement processes for the UHSH Nursing Division or CMH Clinical Services Division. Works collaboratively with Patient Care Services leadership (Nursing Supervisors, Nurse Managers, Service Line Managers, Directors of Nursing, the Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President of Patient Care Services, and/or Vice President of Clinical Services) to ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission/Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), NYSDOH, CMS and other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (For CMH, must at minimum be currently enrolled in Bachelor's program and complete within 2 years of hire)

  • Three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting to include background in clinical operations, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and patient safety

  • Lean Expert required within 1 year

  • Preferred:

  • Lean Expert

  • For CMH, MDS experience in LTC or Swing Bed setting

License/Certification

  • Minimum Required:

  • Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse

  • CPR within 3 months of hire

  • Preferred:

  • Professional certification in a related specialty
