News Corp Australia Senior Finance Manager - Brands and Editorial in NSW, Australia
What’s the role?
This position will support the commercial approach and outcomes for Free News and Lifestyle brands and is responsible for the profitability, positioning and strategic direction of the associated products. Partner with Free News and Lifestyle Publisher, Editor-in-Chief and leadership teams to question and challenge in order to drive operational and financial performance. Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results and expense management of the Publishing vertical. Assist senior leaders in commercial decision making to achieve overall business improvement. This role reports to GM Commercial Finance - Free News and Lifestyle.
The role requires experience in and a solid understanding of digital advertising products and pricing, as well as experience supporting publishing and editorial functions and digital advertising revenue.

Key Responsibilities
Business partnering to influence the required commercial outcomes through scenario modeling and insightful analysis
Generation of budgets and rolling forecasts, partnering with key stakeholders Deep dives into business performance, proactively identifying risks and opportunities as they emerge, surfacing key metrics to the business
Support project work and development of business cases or business led initiatives as part of a cross-functional team
Support the wider team with the delivery of high quality reporting in-line with group finance and commercial requirements (weekly, monthly & quarterly results) including both financial and non-financial information to insights and support decision making
Identify and implement process improvements and generate process efficiencies
Manage internal controls, SOX compliance and risk
Leadership and Direction: Communicates the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organisation's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
Who are you?
CA/CPA qualified qualification
10+ years experience (min 5+ in leadership roles)
Proven success in leading high performing teams
Strong stakeholder management experience and track record of challenging and influencing
