Main Accountabilities

Main Qualifications
• (Red Seal) Mobile Equipment Maintenance related Trade Certificate of Qualification, or equivalent, with 5 or more years of field maintenance experience working on Ansul & Firetrace Fire Suppression systems, Cab heating & Air conditioning systems on heavy equipment in an open pit mining environment required.
• Certification and relevant experience installing, servicing and maintaining Ansul and Firetrace Mobile Equipment Fire suppression systems.
• Perform inspections, preventitive maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment air conditioning, fire suppression and heating systems. Complete service reports, identify parts requirements and complete work orders for all assocated tasks.
• SAP maintenance systems expertise desireable.
• Experience mentoring, providing solid direction and demonstrating safety leadership in harsh arctic field envrionments and in the workshops.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Previous experience working in a remote Arctic operation with camp accommodations working with employees of all competency levels including developing individuals with minimal experience at apprenticeship levels performing maintenance activities
• Extensive experience troubleshooting, repairing, changing components, and performing maintenance activities on the fire suppression, heating and aircon systems of the following equipment:

Atlas Copco PV271 & D65 drills
Cat 6030 face shovel
Cat MD6290 drills
Cat 793F and 777G trucks
Cat 14M/16H/16M Motorgraders
Cat D6/D9T/D10T Track Type tractors
Cat 390D/320D/345D Excavators
Cat 994K/992K/988H/950/930 Wheel loaders
Cat 740B Articulated trucks
Sandvik DX800 drills
Lube trucks, Skidsteers, Telehandlers, Forklifts, Cranes and other ancillary equipment
Terex/Grove Cranes of various models Able to lift up to 50 lbs; physically fit
