What part will you play?

  • In your new role, develop and implement the global procurement strategy for IT Hardware (e.g. servers, storage, workstations, monitors, network products) that aligns with the business objectives of Siemens Grid Software.

  • Therefore, actively handle the global purchasing volume, identify cost savings potentials, and negotiate favorable terms with hardware vendors using an integrated total cost of ownership approach.

  • Effectively engage with our regions to identify and promote business opportunities from an early stage.

  • Be a trusted partner to our internal collaborators (sales, bid management, project management, lifecycle management), by consistently supporting projects throughout their lifecycle.

  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, ensuring technical and budget compliance, as well as supply chain resilience.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices for hardware procurement, driving innovation and process improvement while sharing knowledge within the network.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business information systems, business engineering, or a related field.

  • Long term experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies, and your outstanding conceptual thinking sets you apart.

  • Proactive mentality by taking ownership of projects and assuming the functional lead as needed.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment, with a focus on delivering results.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in hardware procurement, negotiation skills and the management of supplier agreements are considered a plus.

  • Proficiency in English rounds off your profile, additional languages (e.g. German) are a plus.
