Fedcap Food Service Assistant in NY, United States
We are immediately hiring in Rochester, NY! Join us at the Kessler Center School for an exciting career as a Food Service Assistant.
Salary Range: $18.00/hr.
Position Summary:
The Food Service Assistant prepares and serves cafeteria and home-style food and maintains the kitchen and dining area according to local and state regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Assures presentation of all menu items and salad bar to established standards.
Assures all menu items are prepared according to established policies and procedures according to their dietary needs.
Assists Food Service Manager to ensure that all perishable and non-perishable foods to include paper and cleaning supplies, are ordered and received according to established par levels.
Provides services to students/clients in a friendly and efficient manner.
Serves food at the correct serving temperature according to serv-safe standards.
Cleans dining areas before and after dining hours.
Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters.

Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Restaurant experience as prep-cook or similar.
Valid food handlers permit (Kessler will assist otherwise qualified candidates in obtaining permit if necessary).
