The Analyst II, Planning/Materials for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for purchasing assigned materials for Beckman Coulter Ireland Inc. from the approved supplier base and developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity.

This position is part of the Materials/Planning department located in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be a hybrid position. This is a maternity leave 12 month FTC cover contract. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage supplier base with regular reviews and supplier scorecards, including focus on supplier validation and introduction.

  • Plan assigned Finished Goods to meet set safety stock levels and customer demand in Distribution Centres.

  • Review forecast updates and maintain manufacturing batch sizes in line with demand.

  • Update weekly Manufacturing schedule and review with Formulation and Fill/Packing Operation

  • Work with Finished Goods Planners to manage supply to customers.

  • Learn our DBS tools and be involved in DBS best practice activities such as Kaizens, PSPs, etc.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a similar environment OR Honours Business degree (Level 8) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment

  • Experience working in an MRP/MPS environment.

  • Highly numerate with a strong aptitude for data analysis and achieving high quality output.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Oracle Manufacturing

  • APICS Certification / IIPMM Diploma

  • Visual planning / Lean Inventory management processes
