Our fast-growing organization is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk with minimal experience and a college education to join our finance team. This is an entry level opportunity to begin a progressive career in the accounting field with potential for growth. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will collaborate with the accounting team to properly record payments to customer accounts and handle general ledger reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have a firm grasp of basic accounting principles and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and sort documents and identify and interpret data to be entered.

• Post customer checks, vendor payments, and ACH payments.

• Assist with reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

• Research and resolve any discrepancies in billed and received amounts.

• Assist in month-end reporting procedures and in developing and implementing new processes and enhancements to streamline accounts receivable operations.

  Requirements

• A minimum of an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimal experience in accounting or related field.

• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures and basic understanding of accounting principles.

• Proficient in relevant computer applications and databases.

• Excellent data entry skills and strong mathematical ability.
