TheCookwill be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and the growth of the Caf.

The Caf is inSan Marcos, CA 555 Deer Springs Rd.

Schedule:Part-time, Less than 20Hours per week.Saturday 12pm to 9pm. Tuesdays 9am to 2pm. Available some Sundays 6am to 3pm

A typical day for a cook will include:

• Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.
• Prepare components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans
• Stock inventory and supplies.
• Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

Range:$19.00 - $22.00 / Hour

We would love it if you:

• Highschool diploma/ GEDis desirable.
• Criminal background check required.
• Acceptable Driving History.
• Must have a personal mode of transportation.
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
• County of San Diego food handlers card.

What youll need to be successful:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for multi-tasking.
• Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
• Acceptable driving history
• Acceptable criminal background check
• Must receive a negative marijuana/drug screen.
