Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry based in Odessa, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for processing work orders for payment, data entry, and reconciliation of expenses. This role reports directly to the Engine Field Supervisor and is part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Processing work orders for payment in an accurate and timely manner

• Performing data entry tasks related to accounting

• Reconciling expenses and maintaining accurate financial records

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Applying skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Data Entry, Invoice Processing, and Microsoft Excel to complete daily tasks

• Working under the supervision of the Engine Field Supervisor

• Ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures and protocols

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations

• Resolving any discrepancies or issues related to work orders and expenses

• Maintaining confidentiality of financial information and adhering to data privacy regulations. Requirements • Possess a minimum of one year of experience in the Accounting Clerk role or similar position

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated experience in Invoice Processing

• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, charts, and reports

• Familiarity with the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry is advantageous

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
