Reporting Structure: Reports directly to General Manager Has authority over all operations and team members Terms of employment (full-time) Full-time with On Call responsibilities. Responsible for calling team members out after hours when needed. Over-all responsibility/accountability: Responsible for oversight of shop, equipment and team members. Resolves or coordinates resolution of technical issues or problems Coordinates jobs to complete work when needed by customers. Authorizes overtime for jobs that require expediting. Make sure tools and tooling are available for team members. Makes sure material is ordered and delivered for projects. Makes sure that customers are notified when projects are completed. Customer Service and sales calls Calibration of measuring devices Qualifications needed: Able to work without supervision to get the job done. Needs to understand Safety Program and compliance Able to discuss projects with customers and offer advice in resolving what needs to be done. Able to be a resource for team members and customers when critical data is needed. Needs to have good understanding of our computer system and how to find critical data needed for projects. Needs to have good communication skills in dealing with team members and customers Needs to be able to produce quotes and price tickets for customers. Physical requirements: Able to work with moderate stress levels He should be a good representative for Martels Machine Shop at all times (24/7) in appearance and actions. Should be able to delegate most physical labor to team members Description of work environment: Spends 90% of the time in an office or shop environment. May be exposed to high noise levels, chemicals, and shop traffic. Should observe all safety rules and procedures.
