Precision Castparts Corp. Server Administrator in Ogden, Utah
Position Description: The Server Administrator is responsible for all desktop and server level support in a manufacturing environment. The role will maintain servers, networks, PCs, applications, and printers.
Essential Job Functions: • Act as technical lead for helpdesk and PC support • Troubleshooting of complex PC problems • Maintain infrastructure and desktop application licensing • Proactively and reactively deal with network and server performance problems • Work with Network Engineers to develop server configurations • Act as hardware resource for MIS department during application implementations • Coordinate with Network Engineers as they implement network design changes • Support iPhone setup with Division MDM (AirWatch) Administrators • Ensure proper backups are scheduled and completed, and periodically test restores. • Manage signoffs and software change requests in accordance with IT procedures and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. • Maintain/Implement: o Servers (Dell, VMWare, Windows 2008R2-2016, Windows Active Directory) o Networks (Cisco Wireless, Cisco Switches, Juniper Switches/Routers) o PCs (Dell, Windows 7 and Windows 10) o Applications (WSUS, SEP, File Services, Office 365, CAD Software (Solidworks), Custom In-House applications, Equipment specific machines) o Printers (Xerox Print Services, HP LaserJet)
Special Skills and Physical Requirements: • Knowledge of Microsoft SCEP, Microsoft SharePoint, VMWare, and Solar Winds network management tools • Knowledge of server and PC hardware specifications • Organized, professional approach • Must be able to lift 35lbs for printers, network equipment, etc

Reporting Relationships: • This position reports to the Group IT Manager, and a local manager
Education & Experience Required: • 5+ years progressive experience in IT systems role • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 experience • Certifications for Min crosoft
