Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Summary:• This position is responsible for the safe and efficient process engineering for Ohta site. Responsibility includes the leadership and direction of the workforce, training of junior engineers, improving process engineering efficiencies, process engineering coordination, window to improve product quality/capacity/cost for business team, leading to implement new technologies, and the implementation of all company policies and programs as site engineering leader for FP and Add.

• Strong execution skills in production process and raw materials with chemical / engineering background.

• Establish and maintain an open minded and trusted culture, which is in line with legal requirements as well as internal regulations and which is accepted on site.

• Safely run operation at Laboratory and Plant trial.

• Lead and support facility investment for other engineering teams.

• Develop and implement effective employee that support sites goals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for following tasks related to Ohta operation.

• EHS

• Ensures safety for FP and Add processes at Ohta Site to cope with global & Ohta local initiatives and local regulatory.

• Ensure all requirements of Momentive’s EHS Management System are compliant in responsible area.

• Responsible for site compliance of EHS regulations and requirements for both internally and externally for FP and Add processes and products.

• Responsible to identify and prioritize environmental improvement opportunities for FP and Add processes.

• Maintain EHS performances for ISO and OHSAS.

Compliance

• Communication within site and with outside vendors/customers

• Ensure seamless communications with Production Engineering, Project Engineering and Process technology team for effective facility improvement

• Communication with other functions and outside customers / vendors (Customer / Vendor site visiting & audit, Participation of meeting with vendor etc)

• Capacity, Growth

• Develop capacity improvement plan based on future demand and/or current capacity utilization.

• Lead to create and execute capacity improvement programs.

• Work closely with local & global technology team and process technology team to commercialize NPI.

• Work closely with business team to execute capacity program in timely through CI methodology.

• Responsible for basic engineering design and stable operation of growth projects.

• Process Development, Improvement

• Create and lead process development and process optimization programs.

• Responsible to introduce new technologies from internal/external Momentive.

• Responsible to design of new process for facility investments.

• Standardize operation procedure by process change.

• Production Cost, Productivity(VCP)

• Lead to create productivity(VCP) programs and identify program benefit.

• Responsible for basic engineering design of productivity projects.

• Monitor production cost, and proactively address the root cause and build action plans for cost variances.

• Responsible to reduce OOS/SMI to minimize waste.

• Quality

• Solve the issues of product quality through CI methodology.

• Use structured problem solving techniques, analytical tools and teamwork to improve quality and unit performance.

• Lead to maintain SAP master data which are BOM, Recipe and manufacturing manuals.

• Maintain quality system for ISO.

• Communications

• Ensures FP and Add processes at Ohta Site in Compliance with Local Law and Momentive Policies & Management System.

• Ensure all responsible for FP and Add processes, products and raw materials are complying with related regulations and policies.

• Responsible for development of documents to be submitted for relevant regulatory authorities and these are accurately reflecting the actual conditions and fully in compliance with related regulations and policies.

• Build sustainable & trust Relationship to Ohta management Team.

• Ensure proper documentation for Site. (e.g. Permits, MOC)

• Ensure trainings of compliance / Integrity are delivered to the team.
