Robert Half Help Desk Support Specialist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our IT team as a Help Desk Support Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing essential technical assistance to end-users within our organization. This position involves working with basic Active Directory functions, utilizing Fresh-Service for ticketing, troubleshooting Windows systems, and addressing printer-related issues. This is an on-site role and does not involve remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic user account management in Active Directory.

• Support password resets and access requests for end-users.

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with Windows operating systems.

• Assist in the setup and configuration of desktops and laptops.

• Diagnose and address basic printer issues, both hardware and software.

• Install and configure printers on end-user workstations.

• Provide support for basic hardware components such as desktops and peripherals.

• Assist with the installation and configuration of standard software applications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.

• Experience: Entry-level position; no prior experience required, but some exposure to IT support is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of Active Directory for user account management.

• Familiarity with using a ticketing system, preferably Fresh-Service.

• Exposure to troubleshooting basic issues with Windows operating systems.

• Basic knowledge of printer setups and troubleshooting.

Soft Skills:

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a dynamic environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work on-site; this position does not involve remote work.

• Willingness to be trained and follow established IT support procedures.

• A proactive and positive attitude towards problem-solving.
