job summary:

Growing manufacturer in Oklahoma City is seeking a Technical Writer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of technical writing experience. Proficient experience with Solidworks and 3D CAD is required in order to export models and incorporate them into technical manuals and documentation. Experience with technical writing relating to manufacturing machinery is highly preferred.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality technical manuals including parametric CAD models of machinery to share with customers

• Update previous and existing manuals and maintain database

• Create exploded views for maintenance and spare parts diagrams

• Collaborate with internal teams to get understanding of products and documentation requirements

• Create and maintain a library of existing manuals, including part numbers in the ERP system

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of Technical Writing experience, equipment or manufacturing machinery preferred

• Excellent written communication abilities and software proficiency with Solidworks, 3D CAD and Adobe Suite; Microsoft Office

• Ability to navigate programming software to capture HMI screens for documentation

• Abilities with SolidWorks Composer

• Proficiency to work with 3D CAD software to export models to include in documentation

• Technical aptitude needed to grasp complex technical concepts and make them understandable through pictures and diagrams

• Bachelor's degree in technical field, mechanical drafting or similar preferred
