Global Delivery Network (GDN) is the organization within Siemens Industry Software responsible for the global delivery of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) services. With its centers in India, Malaysia, Mexico, and Poland, GDN is successfully delivering implementation and support projects of PLM and MOM systems for leading industry companies worldwide.

We are looking for an Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our CApS (Cloud Application Services) Delivery Team Wroclaw (Poland). Remote / Hybrid working is possible within Poland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and setting up architecture for hosting various siemens SaaS applications on the cloud (AWS)

  • Working with Product Support team on cloud and product hosting related issues

  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices

  • Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues

  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements

  • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs

  • Troubleshooting and solving problems

  • Help curate the knowledge collateral created by the team

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS set up and administration (EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, VPN, RDS, S3, Lambda knowledge is a must)

  • Hands-on with containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.)

  • Linux / Windows system administration knowledge

  • Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible

  • Scripting language like Bash, PowerShell

  • Strong verbal communication in English (at least C1) is a must

  • Active Directory/LDAP & SSO administration

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

Good to have:

  • AWS Cloud Certifications

  • Willing to learn new things

  • DBA knowledge (Oracle/MS SQL)

  • Mentoring junior members' experience

  • Previous experience with Pareto or 5 Why or any other industry technique for root cause analysis
