Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the gas industry, located in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be tasked with preparing invoices for processing, auditing employee expense reports, and answering queries on the accounts payable help line. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare invoices for processing, ensuring they comply with the company's policies.

• Audit employee expense reports, verifying the compliance of signatures with authorized approvals.

• Complete an overall review of expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.

• Prepare a weekly check run, ensuring all checks are issued timely and accurately.

• Maintain and organize departmental correspondence and checks.

• Answer internal and external queries on the accounts payable help line, providing accurate and timely responses.

• Analyze invoices for use tax compliance, identifying any inconsistencies or discrepancies.

• Utilize skills in account reconciliation, invoice processing, and data entry to maintain accurate records.

• Use Microsoft Excel and Oracle for various tasks, including coding invoices and check runs.

• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned, showcasing flexibility and adaptability. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrated ability to perform Check Runs

• Familiarity with Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Oracle

• Understanding of the gas industry

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
